News: John Roberts Confirmed as Chief Justice

John Roberts was confirmed by the United States Senate as the 17th chief justice of the United States Supreme Court earlier today. The Senate voted 78 to 22 to confirm Roberts. Roberts will succeed the late William H. Rehnquist.
